TAG Heuer S.A. is a luxury Swiss watchmaker that designs, manufactures, and sells watches and fashion accessories, eyewear and mobile phones made under license by other companies and carrying the brand TAG Heuer name.

The company, originally known as Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG, was founded by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland in 1860. In 1985, TAG Group acquired a majority stake in the company, and it was subsequently renamed TAG Heuer. Later, in 1999, the Swiss company was purchased by the French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, who now own almost 100% of the company.

The name TAG Heuer takes the initials of “Techniques d’Avant Garde” and the founder’s surname.

TAG Heuer is now headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The company is led by CEO Frédéric Arnault, while Jack Heuer, the great-grandson of the founder, serves as the honorary chairman. TAG Heuer operates a watchmaking workshop in Cornol, Switzerland, and a watchmaking factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The brand’s slogan is “Swiss Avant-Garde Since 1860”.
